This tutorial will teach you how to use the recovery partition of your Toshiba laptop in order to restore your system to factory defaults. This is useful if your C: partition gets corrupted or you would just like to start fresh with the laptop how it was the day you bought it from the store. This method is not guaranteed for all laptops, but I have tested it on a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5919 when I needed to restore Windows Vista.

Turn the laptop off. Hold down the 0 (zero) key while it's still off, and then power the laptop on. Do not release the 0 key until the laptop has gone into system recovery. From there, simply follow the prompts and make the desired selections.
